Neuroscience Day – 2007

  Friday, November 16, 2007

     The Brain Research Foundation
    together with the
   BRI Executive Committee
    will host
   The 9th Annual
   Brain Research Institute Neuroscience Day

On Friday, November 16, 2007  the BRI Executive Committee together with the Brain Research Foundation will host the 8th Annual Brain Research Institute Neuroscience Day.  This event will take place at the Donnelly Biological Sciences Learning Center (BSLC).  This unique forum is intended to provide all members of the neurosciences community at The University of Chicago the opportunity to share interests in an informal setting and to stimulate scientific interactions between laboratories.  We strongly encourage graduate students and postdoctoral fellows (basic and clinical) to present posters for this event.

This event has been quite successful promoting the interaction for scientists.  We have setup a webpage to facilitate things by introducing specifically tailored sites for Neuroscience Day.  As you peruse our website, there is a page for registration and also for abstract submission.  You must submit your abstract to us by using the form we have created.  The specifications for your poster presentations must be modified to meet the dimensions as requested for the Annual SFN meeting. The display poster board dimensions are 80'' wide by 60'' tall . These posters will be displayed at the Learning Centers on the 1st and 2nd  floors and will be assigned a number upon submission.  You can refer periodically to the website to obtain the assigned number to your poster.  Should you have any questions concerning abstract submissions, please contact our office directly.

NOTE:   Because of the lack of display space at the Learning Center, the maximum amount allowable for poster presentations is 40. Only one poster submission per person. We ask that all poster submissions be sent to us no later than November 14, 2007.  Under no circumstances will posters be accepted after the deadline.  Please have your posters displayed by 7:00 am on November 16th.
